I’ve been in the world of death investigation for over 35 years. I worked as a law enforcement investigator and a medicolegal death investigator for the Coroner/M.E office. I found a few years ago that training specifically for death investigation was limited or non-existent in many areas. My love for teaching and desire to leave this field better than I found it resulted in the academy you are now a part of.

Absolutely awesome course(s). Lots of information and explanation provided for everything and the folks at DIT Academy are really good at getting back to you quickly if you email them with any questions or concerns. My only complaint would be that the lectures randomly include a 'proof of watch' image that is a quiz question afterwards, and I learn by listening rather than reading and watching unless necessary....according to the site, the proof of watch images are included as required by Missouri POST, which I know is where the Academy is based out of. However since it's offered and open to anyone and not just Missouri residents, its a little minor frustration to have it included for those of us who live elsewhere. (A small thing I know, and my only real complaint/gripe!) Finally able to apply for an MDI job that I've dreamt of for years, thanks to the DIT Academy. =)
