Motor Vehicle Crash Injury Analysis
Being former law enforcement and working with attorneys allowes me to give insight on MVC cases. It's simplified but not overly complicated.
David
Great Job On A Broad Topic
Frank did a great job of encouraging a logical examination of evidence in order to make a good determination of events and causes.
Adam
Good title for the class
Everything was good. I think how the instructor referred to the aorta should be changed in how he described the injuries. The aorta is connected to the heart but is not the heart.
Jimmy
Motor vehicle crash injury analysis
It covered all the basics

Indepth Knowledge
This course really gave more depth to the knowledge that i had about motor vehicle related incidents.
Rick
Coroner training
Interesting presentation, but I was disappointed with a few issues. I have been in the Medical field for quite a while, and noted numerous errors in spelling, pronunciation and word usage that makes the presenter seem somewhat sloppy in his preparation. One nit-picky example--palpitation means your heart is racing, PALPATION means examining with your hands!!
P
Appropriate title
Excellent high quality presentation clearly presented by an expert in the field. Well worth the small monetary contribution. Only constructive comment is I have no doubt many thousands of your listeners to coroner talk are not from the USA. Much of the rest of the world has different seating positions for the driver and also drive on different sides of the road. Making the presentations more generic to account for this, could be one small improvement.
Curtis
Was well explained
Well written

informative course
I enjoyed the course, however I would like to see some information specific to Coroners on what do do, collect, look for and document when called to a MVC. Example: temp. outside, weather conditions, seat belt use etc.
Dan
The title was was a true statement of the course.
It was a very informative and interesting course. On my next accident investigation I’ll will use the information taught in this course to help with my determination of how the death occurred.

MVC Injury Analysis
Great course. Very informative in what to look for and what often causes the injuries that you're looking at. Also like the objectivity of Mr. Carson in the way he approaches his scene responses.
Dave
very interesting
helped very much
Jeffrey
Motor Vehicle Crash Injury Analysis
Very good course covering the basics of crash injuries. The information was presented in a well thought out manner. I thought the scene scenarios at the end of the course allowed you to use what you learned throughout the course to form a hypothesis on the manner of death in those scenarios. There were a few slide errors such as: V1 crashed into V1 instead of V2, wrong victim name (used Charlie then COE for same victim), etc. Just needs a bit of editing to clean up the slides. Overall, it was very good. The presenter did a good job and you could tell he really knew his stuff.

Good information. Sounded like the instructor was pushed for time, and made some mistakes as a result of him rushing (wrong vehicle, as an example). Well worth it.

My Thoughts
Great review but a little over detailed. Some new personnel may be intimidated by the amount of information and more experienced personnel may tend to "zone out" after a certain point because of the sheer volume. There was also some words that were mispronounced. Mostly medical terms. Have someone review this and give the correct verbaage. Otherwise good course and I did enjoy the walk thru of the final scenarios
Brian
Appropriate for title.
This was one of the best lectures I’ve ever participated in. The information I learned will immediately help with my investigations. Thank you!

good information sound had an echo which was distracting
This training video was informative but was much deeper than South Dakota codified laws mandate for elected Coroners. My understanding of SDCL is Coroner's duties is the cause of death
Dave
Good
Droned on for an extended time. The speaker seemed very fascinated with his cases and it became boring when flashing back and forth repeatedly to the same slides. Other than that the information was good.
